Let's talk about BIRTHDAY GIRL by Penelope Douglas

I'm sorry I haven't posted anything recently at all (I'm not sure who set a high expectation to this blog though LOL)

I've been really busy with job hunting and my current work so I haven't had enough time to read a lot of books.

Anyway , I finished BIRTHDAY GIRL the beginning of this month and I really wanted to talk about it.

Sooooo here I am !!

The story follows a girl called Jordan and a guy called Pike .

One day they met a town theatre and Although Jordan is in relationship with Cole, something between them quietly sparked.Pike is 38 and Jordan is 19. But they had a really good time together .

Her relationship with her boyfriend seems perfectly fine untill they kicked out from thier flat because of his problematic behaviour so they were forced to move in to a new place at an affordable price, which is rather hard when you are 19 and not entirely comfortable with your financial situation.Cole suggests Jordan that they move in his dad's house where he lives alone for a very long time untill they save up enough money to afford a place to rent .

She initially doesn't think highly of his Idea but then she doesn't have a  choice either .

On the day , she and her boyfriend move in , Jordan gasps what she sees. The guy whom she met at a theatre the other day is her bf's father.

The spark that they felt on the day they met is forbidden.

But now  unfortunately  they live under the same roof .

Lots of sex .

Well it is kind of unavoidable especially  when you read romance books.

Pike is freaking cool and incredibly thoughtful,passionate and loveable !Oh gosh I wish I had a bf like him who gives a beautiful rose colour cake on my birthday!what a life!!

just kidding . 

it is not about cakes or free-rent- and- bills- flat story haha

it is about a pure (skeptical in a sense),beautiful and fun romance story.

I think this is like a rollercoaster reading experience where a lot of emotional journies are taken place haha

I am wondering I'm the only one who is not a big fan of Jordan because she is being bitch from time to time  thinking herself like a queen who just needs a man with a hot body and a good looking face who provides what she needs or likes ?

I'm most pissed off when she constantly says something along the line of" I'm not going to love him"

Don't get me wrong I'm fully aware that their love has many problems. BUUUUT!

 I was like DON'T LIE TO YOURSELF and PRETEND to be a cool kid . if you want to put your lips on his lips , it is definietely not a roommate it is FUCKING something.

DON'T try to be arrogant to Pike because personally I love Pike so much LOL

Honesly , when she told Pike " I've got a viblator in my room which got bigger balls than you " during their quarreling,

I was shouting WHAT THE HELL JORDAN PLEASE!!!!!!!

I knew you were kind of the type of person who could says that much nasty things to a person who cares SO MUCH about you but it is not at all respectful to say the least!!

Well ,I just should stop rambling about the protagonist.

Anyway ,I think this book is really enjoyable and causes a lot of emotions so I really like it in spite of the existence of Jordan.hahaha

So if you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend it .
